When you close your eyes and dream of Africa you’ll probably see Kenya with its rolling plains, flat topped acacia trees, lakes full of flamingos and Mount Kilimanjaro shimmering in the distance. The diversity of game in Kenya is simply astounding. From the big five to the small five, Kenya’s game parks, reserves and other wildlife protection areas host some of the wildest game thus the reason why this is home for the safari. Dotted in their unique landscapes, geographical features, a vast array of game ensues.

On location you will find many agencies with specialized personnel, which offer different packages for all types of needs, with duration and different destinations.

Masai Mara, Kenya’s most famous and finest game reserve. The Masai Mara is the site of one of the most spectacular phenomenon of the natural world - the Great Annual Wildebeest Migration. Feted as one of the ’New Seven Wonders of the World’, the Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe.

Over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. You will easily see the Big Five - lion, rhino, buffalo, leopard, and elephant and not to mention, numerous plain animals. The famous Masai tribesmen live within the dispersal area of the game reserve.

Amboseli National Park. Amboseli sits on the lower slopes of mighty Mount Kilimanjaro - Africa’s highest - whose peak lies across the border in Tanzania.

The animal pictures arising against the dramatic backdrop of the mountain will thrill the photography enthusiast. Amboseli National Park is renowned for its huge elephant herds. You will also see buffalo, black rhino, zebra, wildebeest and other plain animals.

Places to visit: Nairobi, Mount Kenya and Samburu, two of Kenya’s gems: Samburu and Mount Kenya,  where you find icy rivers, spectacular waterfalls and rain forests. Here elephants, buffaloes and other animals visit you at the floodlit waterholes of your lodge.

Then to Samburu National Reserve - a wildlife haven with a scenic semi arid landscape. Here you will spot Africa’s big cats - lions, cheetahs and the elusive leopard. Some animals are unique to this northern Kenya park: Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, kudu and gerenuk. The reserve is located within the lands of the colourful semi-nomadic Samburu tribesmen.
